Homewood Community Center Pool Open House
The Homewood Central Pool opens for the summer on Friday, May 22.
The Homewood Central Pool and West Homewood Pool open this Friday.
“We have a variety of programs coming in and out weekly, just through the classes for the instructors that we contract with,” said Alissa Brock, senior recreation leader for Homewood Parks and Recreation.
TThe Homewood Central Pool will have swim team, day camp and pool parties as it did last year, but Brock said a few more families are expected to come to the pool.
“We had 1,500 people come to the first day last year, so I’d say I’m expecting that to be a little bit of an increase this year, and I’m expecting the Homewood families to come a bit more this year,” Brock said.
She also anticipates more pool memberships will be purchased this year. Pool-only memberships are $150 for the first household member and $25 for each additional household member. Special Saturday membership sales will be held May 23 and May 30.
Both pools will be open from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and it will be open from 1-6 p.m. on Sunday.
