0213 Rec Center Demolition
The Homewood Community Center was demolished on Feb. 4 as a first step to build a new center.
Demolition on the former Homewood Community Center began on the morning of Feb. 4.
Programs and services previously held at Homewood Community Center are temporarily located at the site of the former Jefferson County Satellite Courthouse, 809 Greensprings Highway.
The temporary location will be used until a new community center is completed next to Central Park. It is tentatively scheduled to open in 2014.
