Liza Elliot, Birmingham’s fresh face in literature, will host a free mixer for bloggers, authors and poets. The event will include a free brunch and a door prize drawing and will feature a discussion on how to get published.
Elliot has most recently been published by Hope Publishing House and Red Camel Press. As an active member in the Birmingham community, Elliot believes in promoting local stores, local business, local groups and professionals.
“When I write I am free. I enjoy sharing my experiences, thoughts and adventures through my pen,” Elliot says.
Elliot is also a teacher at the Sparkman Center for Global Health at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). Her novel “Finding Palestine” is a personal account of a Midwestern American embarking on a spontaneous journey to the holy lands in an effort to learn more about life in this world. Elliot’s most-recent fiction novel, “30-A Supper Club” is a mystery set in the Florida panhandle involving family secrets that date back to the Civil War.
