Senior pitcher and third baseman Conner Rivers signed a commitment to Calhoun Community College on Wednesday, Jan. 30.
Conner is a two-year varsity baseball player for Homewood High School. He was named to the Rawlings pre-season All American Team, Under Armour pre-season All American Team and Perfect Game BCS All Tournament Team after spending the summer with the East Cobb Astros of Atlanta.
Calhoun Community College, located in Decatur, Ala. has produced several major league players, most notably New York Yankees catcher Jorge Posada.
Conner is the third member of the Homewood baseball team to sign a commitment letter to play at the college level.
