This summer, Dr. William H. “Bill” Taylor of Homewood participated in UAB School of Medicine’s Inaugural Path of Honor. This procession of medical alumni was a new inclusion to the university’s commencement ceremony. Originally from Mobile, Bill Taylor graduated first from Spring Hill College with a triple major in biology, philosophy and chemistry. Afterward, he was accepted to UAB School of Medicine. His professional career began as a physician and surgeon in the US Army, and he retired from private practice in Birmingham.
Dr. Taylor recently celebrated his 80th birthday with family and friends at the Homewood Senior Center.
