A number of Homewood High School soccer players earned postseason honors for their performances over the 2016 season, which saw both boys and girls teams qualify for the state playoffs.

Senior Anna Frierson – an Auburn signee – made first team All-State for the second year in a row, and scored seven goals to go along with 10 assists for the year.

Junior Jessica Harbin earned second team honors, scoring 16 goals with two assists from the forward position.

Frierson, Harbin and Jada Reap were named B-Divison first teamers on the All-Metro team, while Maggie O’Hare and Rachel Donaldson were named to the second team.

Ryan Hepp was named to the Coaches All-Metro team, as a forward on the second team. Hepp was a four-year starter for the Patriots, and has signed to play soccer collegiately at Birmingham-Southern.
