Patriots open 6A baseball playoffs at Pell City

The Class 6A seventh-ranked Homewood Patriots begin what they hope is the march to a state baseball championship on Friday when they travel to Pell City.

The Pats (24-7) and the Panthers (20-17) play a doubleheader Friday, April 17 beginning at 4:30 p.m. A third game in best-of-three series, if necessary, will be Saturday at 1 p.m., also at Pell City.
