Ten wrestlers from Homewood High School performed well enough at the Super Section tournament last weekend to qualify for the state tournament at the Von Braun Center in Huntsville on Feb. 18-20.

Super Section was held at the Birmingham CrossPlex, as two Patriots won first place in their division.

Homewood competes in the Class 6A division.

Here is the list of state qualifiers:

106 lbs - Marshall Stone (placed third last week)

126 lbs - Jake Vella (placed fifth)

132 lbs - Bailey Roan (won)

138 lbs - Javonic Turner (placed third)

152 lbs - Kris Wilkins (placed sixth)

160 lbs - Jabari Blackmon (placed second)

170 lbs - Daniel Figueroa (placed second)

182 lbs - Miguel Figueroa (won)

220 lbs - Wesley Butler (placed fourth)

285 lbs - Ethan Sherman (placed eighth)

Jesus Figueroa placed fourth and would have qualified in the 195 pound division, but he was disqualified following a match at Super Section after he was assessed a flagrant misconduct penalty for cursing.
