Homewood Patriots defense named Players of the Week

The entire Homewood Patriots defense has been named Players of the Week by The Homewood Star.

In the Patriots' 62-0 blowout of Woodlawn, the defense surrendered only seven first downs en route to a dominant performance.

Homewood's offense scored at will, but a primary reason for the large numbers was that the defense kept the Woodlawn offense off the field.

Homewood looks to continue its successful run with a trip to Sylacauga High Friday night.
