Homewood hosts Metro Tournament this week

Homewood High School is the host of Metro Tournament, that will take place from Wednesday, December 30, through Saturday, January 2.

The Patriots are the host and will begin their slate against Bibb County on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in the final game of the day.

Austin Patterson and Luke Touiliatos are the offensive catalysts for the Patriots, as they ran the table at last week's Steel City Invitational, knocking off Jackson-Olin, Madison Academy, Sacred Heart and J.O. Johnson along the way.

Depending on the result Wednesday, Homewood will play either Huffman or Hartselle on Thursday afternoon.

Here is the first round schedule for Wednesday:

Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa vs. Midfield - 3 p.m.

Vestavia Hills vs. Woodlawn - 4:30 p.m.

Huffman vs. Hartselle - 6 p.m.

Homewood vs. Bibb County - 7:30 p.m.
