Field set for GSC tourney at Samford

The field is set for the semifinals of the men's and women's brackets of the 2015 VisitSpaceCoast.com Gulf South Conference Basketball Tournaments to be held Friday and Saturday at Samford's Pete Hanna Center.

On the men's side Friday, No. 1 seed UAH will face No. 5 Union University at 5 p.m. and No. 2 West Georgia will play No. 3 West Alabama at 7:30 p.m.

On the women's side, top-seeded Union will take on No. 4 West Georgia Friday at noon to tip off the event. No. 3 Delta State faces No. 7 Shorter at 2:30.

Saturday, the women's final will be at 1 p.m. with the men's final at 4:30.

The men's and women's finals will be streamed live on ESPN3.

Tickets for the semifinals and finals can be purchased at the Pete Hanna Center Ticket Office or online at by visiting www.gscsports.org/tickets. General admission tickets are $10 for adults, $3 for students (valid ID required) and free for children 5 years and younger. Only adult tickets are available for online purchase.

The Gulf South Conference, established in 1971 and traditionally one of the strongest Division II conferences in the country, is headquartered in Birmingham.
