Basketball splits with Northridge

The Lady Patriots stormed out to a 26-point first half lead, and cruised to a 60-35 win over Northridge on Monday night.

Ajah Wayne led all scorers with 15 points to go along with five steals, as 12 out of 14 players scored for Homewood in the game.

Tori Webb (12 points, five rebounds) and Hannah Barber (ten points, seven assists, four steals) also reached double-digit scoring.

Homewood dominated the glass, as Shelby Hardy ripped down eight rebounds, Lia Roberson with six, and Sakeria Hollis with seven.

Kalia Cunningham added a pair of steals, and Kassidy Crawford, Venice Sanders, Alexia Hood, Kayla Mikula, and YaMiah Hill also scored in the game.

The Homewood boys fell, 62-58, despite a late charge led by CD Daniels.

Trey Jemison and Ronald Claiborne had strong first half performances in the loss.

The Patriots wrap up the regular season on Friday night, with Senior Night, as they face Ramsay.
