8U Blue wins GBAA All-Star tournament

The Homewood 8U Blue All Star Baseball team won the GBAA state all-star season and tournament. The team lost only one game and won the pool play portion of the tournament, giving them the top seed. The team won all its games leading up to a matchup of Homewood and Hoover for the championship. The team put together an impressive six-inning, no error game that allowed it to beat Hoover 4-0 and win the championship. It was a first for Homewood to win an all-star state tournament.

The team members were Luke Holmes, Mason Moorer, Memphis Walker, William Tanner, Aiden Hiene, Michael Baguley, Tomon Felton, Andrew Woods, Jace Harden, Sam Welch, Dillan Dawson, Luke Bowlby and Jack Bland.

They were coached by Mark Woods, Nathan Bland, Otis Walker Rick Baguley, Justin Bowlby, Brian Tanner and Tyler Dawson.
