Shades Cahaba students hike at Ruffner Mountain

Third-graders at Shades Cahaba went to Ruffner Mountain on a field trip. Students went on a three-mile hike full of learning along the way. Students learned about the history of the mines and how the trails and quarries are filled with iron and limestone that are millions of years old.
