Shades Cahaba girls donate hair

A club for girls in grades 4-5 at Shades Cahaba had a unique way to celebrate the culmination of the year.  Throughout the year, girls met once a month to discuss issues pertinent to their age. Girls discussed dealing with put-downs, staying healthy, ways to deal with stress and what the middle school is like. At the end of the school year, interested girls were invited to donate their hair to Locks of Love or Pantene Beautiful Lengths to make wigs for people who have lost their hair due to illness. This year, four girls donated their hair.  A huge thank you to Monier from Saxx Hair Design for sharing of his gifts, talents and time.
