Fit Friendly at Shades Cahaba

Shades Cahaba Elementary has been recognized as a Fit Friendly School by the American Heart Association. 

This program recognizes schools that go the extra mile to help with the health of their faculty, staff and students by creating physical activity programs and healthy eating options.

Genie Christian, Shades Cahaba’s physical education teacher, coordinated these efforts for the school.
