Fantasy football doubles as math practice

Shades Cahaba Elementary fifth-graders have participated in a 10-week classroom fantasy football program this fall. The program facilitated an understanding of math and algebra as students act as owners of a fantasy football team.

Students determined their team, mascot and colors and then used iPads to research players to draft and later how they scored each week.
