Homewood BOE approves 2016-2017 school year calendar

Homewood City Schools approved its 2016-2017 calendar Monday, Feb. 15 at its monthly Board of Education meeting.

According to the calendar, the school year will begin on Wednesday, Aug. 10 for students. Mid-Winter Holidays will begin Monday Dec. 19 and will continue through Jan. 2. School will resume for students on Wednesday, Jan. 4. Spring Break will be held March 27-31.

Seniors will graduate May 22 and the last school day for all other students will be Wednesday, May 24 with a 1:30 p.m. dismissal.
