Homewood City Schools has announced Jimmie Pearson will be the new principal for Homewood Middle School.

Pearson comes to Homewood from the Jefferson County Board of Education, where he has served as a teacher, assistant principal, principal, area director and area superintendent.

Pearson replaces Dr. Martin Nalls, who will serve as the director of support services for Homewood City Schools.

Pearson is held in high regard as a strong school administrator and has served as a principal in the elementary, middle, junior high and high school levels.

“I am glad and grateful for this opportunity,” Pearson said. “I look forward to serving the Homewood community.”

Mr. Pearson has received significant recognition for his accomplishments, including the Jefferson County PTA Outstanding Principal Award and the Adamsville Distinguished Service Award.
