Homewood Rotary awards scholarships

Four Homewood High School Students were awarded college scholarships at a recent meeting of Homewood Rotary Club. The scholarships were given to deserving students who displayed scholastic and personal achievement in their high school careers. The recipients participated in an in-depth interview process and were selected by the Rotary Club’s selection committee. 

Chairman Lawrence Corley said he was particularly pleased with the outstanding qualities of this year’s recipients. Since 1983, the scholarship committee has awarded just under $300,000 in scholarship funds to 112 students. This year’s scholarships totaled $15,000.
