HCS asking for input on 2016-2017 school calendar

Homewood City Schools officials are asking for public input on calendar proposals for the upcoming school year.

Those who wish to share their thoughts can do so by completing the survey, linked here, by Wednesday, Feb. 10.

The survey includes draft calendars for two proposed schedules of the upcoming year. Draft A would have the first day of school on Aug. 10 and the last day on May 24, while Draft B would start school on Aug. 9 and end it May 23. Holidays and teacher work days would remain the same days in either calendar, and graduation is May 22 in both drafts.

The survey also asks whether parents would prefer to have an inclement weather day on April 14 or 17.
