Fourth grader to compete in Alabama geography bee

Robert Merchant, a fourth grader at Hall-Kent Elementary, has been notified by the National Geographic Society that he is one of the semi-finalists eligible to compete in the 2013 Alabama National Geographic Bee.

The 2013 Alabama National Geographic Bee will be held April 5 at Samford University.
