Grateful Dads event returns Nov. 1

The Homewood City Schools Foundation is hosting its annual Grateful Dads event on Nov. 1. The event is characterized as a "fall band jam" and includes music, food and drinks with proceeds benefiting the foundation.

The event will be held at Good People Brewing, 114 14th St. S. in Birmingham, with food catered by Little Donkey. Several Homewood fathers will lend a hand to provide entertainment for the evening, as they take the stage as part of local bands The BHPs, A Month of Zeros and The Three-Legged Dog.

Tickets are $30 and can be purchased online. There are also sponsorship options ranging from $500 to $2,000. Contact Amy McRae at 706-8870 with questions about Grateful Dads.

The Homewood City Schools Foundation provides grants for teachers each year to support unique classroom programs, as well as scholarships and the Teacher Impact Awards.
