Edgewood Elementary School Principal selected for Learning for Life award

Edgewood Elementary School Principal Dr. Matt Kiser was recently selected as one of the Samford University Orlean Beeson School of Education Learning for Life award recipients.

In 2015, in celebration of its 100th anniversary, the Orlean Beeson School of Education established the Learning for Life Award to honor outstanding education alumni who have made a significant impact in the lives of others.

The mission of the education school is to “empower its students to educate, lead and serve; enriching the community and making a positive difference in the world.” Additionally, one of the school’s core values is that learning is a lifelong commitment.

On Aug. 21, Kiser and thirteen distinguished Orlean Beeson School of Education alumni were honored at the annual Learning for Life Awards Dinner.
