Samford to conduct fire drill on Wednesday

On Wednesday, Oct. 19 at 10 a.m. Samford University will conduct a campus-wide fire drill as part of its emergency preparedness protocols. Because there may be emergency vehicles and sirens in the area, the university would like to notify neighboring residents of its upcoming plans.

With the exception of residence halls, which require unannounced drills, all campus buildings will be evacuated, and the fire drill will include assistance from local emergency response agencies. The drill will also include a test of Samford’s new online safety check-in process for those who are not able to continue to their designated location.
