New Community Art Gallery to display photo contest winners

The Homewood Art Gallery will hold its grand opening June 18 from 6-8 p.m. at Rosewood Hall and will feature hors d’oeuvres and live music. 

Exhibits will rotate in and out of the space regularly, and the first will winners of the council’s Faces, Places and Traces of Homewood photo contest. Other contest entries will also be on display.

"This is a new gallery to celebrate Homewood artists and Homewood's creative spirit," Homewood Arts Council Member Diane Litsey said. "We welcome members of the community to be with us for our opening event, the more the merrier!"

The gallery will span along the back wall of the first floor of City Hall and will have 18 spaces for artwork.
