Live music returns to Brookwood

Colonial Brookwood Village will host a series of Brookwood Live concerts this month from 5-9 p.m.

Tuscaloosa’s Chevy 6 will kick off on May 3 with oldies music.

On May 9, Honey Island Swamp Band will bring to the stage what The Baltimore Sun calls “vintage country meets Gulf Coast boogie-woogie blues.”

Birmingham-based Groove Daddy will take the stage on May 16 with an energetic mix of rhythm and blues, rock and roll, jazz, blues, Motown, ballads, blues, funk, and contemporary gospel and Christian material.

The Bicho Brothers are scheduled for May 12 and Fountain City Players for May 30.
