Homewood PD holds promotional ceremony for veteran officers

The Homewood Police Department held a promotional ceremony on Aug. 30 for two of its veteran officers.

Sgt. Keith Peterson was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant. Peterson has more than 27 years of policing experience and was most recently assigned to the Criminal Investigative Division. He will now command the Uniform Patrol Division.

Detective Eric Marquard was promoted to the rank of Sergeant. Marquard has more than 23 years of policing and was most recently assigned to the Narcotic Investigative Unit. His new assignment will be in the Uniform Patrol Division.

“We are proud of our recent promotions as we are with all of our officers,” said Lt. Eric Hampton in an email. “Help us wish them well in their new roles.”
