The Edgewood Highlands neighborhood is holding its 24th Annual Christmas Parade and Party this December.

The party will take place on Dec. 6 and is hosted by four Edgewood families. Hosts will provide hot chocolate, balloon relays and a holiday piñata in the backyard of Luci and Lem Stabler. Other hosts include Sarah and Justin Shaffield; Sabrina, Fiona, Stacy and Buck Huffman and Bethany and Grant Venable.

For the parade, neighbors are encouraged to decorate bicycles and strollers. The parade will move from Forest Drive, down Edgeland Place to Sterrett Road and up Morris Boulevard.  Participants will sing Christmas carols throughout the parade walk.

Attendees are also encouraged to bring goodies to share. Gina and Steve Watts, along with their children Rachel, Zoe, Leah, Ellie and Andrew, will lead the parade and provide horseback rides with a Quarter Horse and a Tennessee Walker from their Equestrian Center at Watts Farms.

This will also be the first year for a bouncy house, provided by Trinity United Methodist Church, as part of its “Hey Neighbor” outreach campaign.
