American Ninja Warrior contestant releases tryout video

American Ninja Warrior contestant Steve Colter has released his tryout video for the show.

Colter, a Homewood resident, was not allowed to post the video until the episode that covered his event aired, which occurred last Monday night, June 22.

Colter said his run did not make the footage on the episode but that he did well and had a fun time in Orlando. He lost his grip on a tire obstacle on the course.

“You have to do extremely well or extremely bad to make it on TV,” he said. “If you land on your face, they are going to show that.”

This was his second year to compete on the show. Colter is currently in Las Vegas testing the course for the finals for the show and cheering on his friends who are still competing.
