Way of the Cross service scheduled for Friday at 2 p.m.

A group of Homewood churches is holding an interactive Good Friday service on April 3. Participants will process from Homewood Park to Edgewood Presbyterian Church through stations of the cross that commemorate the crucifixion of Jesus.

Prayers and readings will be conducted along the way. In past years, people have taken turns carrying a 7-foot-tall wooden cross

The service begins at Friday at 2 p.m. at Homewood Central Park.
