Applications are now being accepted for the newly established Junior Leadership Board at Vulcan Park and Museum.

Responsibilities of the junior leadership board include supporting the board of directors and Vulcan Park and Museum staff, serving as an ambassador in the community, volunteering for park events and using community experience to make recommendations for the park.

The board will be between 12 and 25 people, and applicants must be between 21 and 45 years old, complete an application and submit a resume.

Board members will serve for a two-year term, and that term can be renewed up to a maximum of two consecutive terms, according to a release.

Members of the board will help develop the Vulcans on Parade community art project as well as other events and fundraisers. They will also receive invitations to events such as members-only receptions and The Vulcans Community Awards Dinner.

Applications will be accepted through the end of October 2016, according to visitvulcan.com.
