T-shirts on sale to benefit EDP programs

A shirt can make a difference.

Project Homewood is currently selling T-shirts to raise money for scholarships for student to attend Homewood Extended Day Programs (EDP) who might not otherwise be able to attend them. The shirts cost $15 and are available through booster.com.

The organization has a goal to sell 100 shirts by Sunday, Oct. 12.

Project Homewood started last year to raise money for the children whose families are not able to afford for them to attend an After School Program at Homewood City Schools. The Extended Day Programs (EDP) offer safe place for children to after the school day is complete to have a snack, complete their homework and play with their friends. 

Project Homewood is also holding a fundraising night at the Homewood Jim ‘N Nicks, 220 Oxmoor Road, on Wednesday, Oct. 29. For anyone who provides their server with a Project Homewood ticket for lunch or dinner that day lunch or dinner, dine-in, take-out or drive-through, 10 percent of the proceeds will go to Project Homewood. Tickets are available on the organization’s website and Facebook page.
