Second person identified in connection to CVS robbery

Homewood Police Department identified a second person for his involvement in the June 10 robbery of the CVS Pharmacy on Independence Drive.

A warrant for robbery in the first degree was signed for Lawrence Bernard Roscoe, and bond is set at $30,000.

On June 10 at 1:45 p.m., two black males went into the CVS and filled two baskets with cough and cold medicine, razor blades and ace bandages. They tried to leave the store without paying, and after the assistant manager blocked the exit, they threatened to shoot her and knocked her down.

The men left in a silver Mazda 5 sport van driven by Latitia Pope, 23. Pope was arrested last week for robbery 1st degree with a $10,000 bond.

Roscoe is not in custody, and anyone with information about his location can call Crime Stoppers at 254-7777.
