Police looking to identify woman who stole shopper’s phone, money

Homewood police are looking to identify a woman who took a shopper’s phone and cash at the money center inside the Wildwood Walmart on Lakeshore Parkway on July 31.

The victim placed her phone and cash on the counter and walked off without realizing she left her belongings. The suspect was behind her in line and reportedly picked up the phone, concealed it and went outside to put it in a car before returning to the Walmart.

The suspect is a black female in a striped shirt and white pants. Anyone with information about the suspect or her identity can call crime stoppers at 254-7777.
