Human trafficking investigation concludes with two arrests

Homewood Police Narcotics Unit arrested two individuals from Tennessee following a human trafficking/ prostitution investigation.

Ray Kennemer Jr. and Elzabod Ferguson were identified as directing a prostitution service from a Homewood Hotel. Their arrest is the third for prostitution-related crimes in recent months.

Kennemer and Ferguson were released from Jefferson County Jail with $60,000 bond.

Homewood Police are conducting these investigations along with the FBI, U.S. Attorney’s Office and the Jefferson County District Attorney’s office.
