As they prepare to open their second store, Neighborhood Hops & Vine held a wine tasting at their new location on 28th Avenue South, Homewood on Friday, June 26.

Chandler Busby, owner of Neighborhood Hops & Vine, began and ended the event with a sabrage, a technique of opening a champagne bottle with a sword. The free wine tasting featured local wine distributors Grassroots Wine, Pinnacle Imports and International Wines & Craft Beers.

Once open, the Homewood Neighborhood Hops & Vine will stock locally made beers and wines, as well as a draft wall with 20 beers on tap for packaging.

The 28th Avenue South location is ideal for Busby because it’s close to downtown and evening work traffic. The 2,600-square-foot building is also nearly four times larger than his Crestline location, giving him extra space for storing products and an eventual classroom.
