Homewood Rotary Club receives donation for education

The Homewood Rotary Club recently welcomed a new member, David Roberts, the general manager of the Lakeshore Wal-Mart. Roberts also donated a $2,000 grant through Wal-Mart to go toward the Homewood Education Foundation.

 “Wal-Mart has always been involved with community growth,” Robert said. “I want our management team to get out and meet with community leaders so we can understand how best to help.”.

Mike O’Kelley, chairman of the Homewood Education Foundation, accepted Wal-Mart’s donation and said he looks forward to growing Rotary’s new relationship.
