The Homewood Police Department is investigating at least two burglaries that have recently occurred at 75 Bagby Drive in West Homewood.

While the police department has had to deal with various thefts in the area since the businesses at the location closed a few years ago, there have been two, possibly three, additional incidents in the past two weeks, said Sgt. John Carr. The police department was notified after a call from the property owners who visit the site from time to time.

"Someone is breaking in to the [former businesses] and a stealing the copper wiring," he said, noting that all burglaries have occurred during the nighttime.

There are no leads at this time, but Homewood residents are asked to be on the lookout for any sales of large amounts of scrap metal, copper wiring and air conditioning units and report any information to the Homewood Police Department.
