Homewood cancels after-school activities due to weather threat

After-school activities, with the exception of EDP and the After the Bell program, are cancelled today, Homewood City Schools announced. 

The decision to cancel activities is because of the threat of inclement weather, said Communications Director Merrick Wilson.  

The National Weather Service office for the Birmingham area says severe weather is possible tonight into Wednesday morning.
