Homewood BBVA Compass robbed

by

A local bank was robbed around 10 a.m. Tuesday morning, and police are continuing to search for suspects.

Homewood Police Department received a call from one of the tellers at BBVA Compass off of State Farm Parkway while the robbery was in progress.

The suspect fled the scene on foot, and police set up a perimeter to track him. He headed westbound to Lakeshore, where the trail followed by a K-9 unit ended. Police report a second suspect could have been waiting to pick up the suspect.

Police describe the first suspect as a white male in his late teens or early 20s wearing a dark shoulder-length wig, white shirt, khaki pants and a khaki hat with red lettering. The second suspect is described as a black male in all black clothing.

Anyone with more information can contact the local FBI Office at 326-6166 or Homewood PD at 332-6200.
