Fall festival roundup

Homewood area churches are celebrating autumn with festivals and activities for the young and young at heart. Mark your calendars and bring your family to some of these events:

Sunday, October 20:

The Oakmont United Methodist Church Fall Festival is from 5 to 7 p.m. and will include a free hot dog supper, games, a bake sale, silent auction, hayrides and more. For more information, visit oakmontmethodist.org.

Friday, October 25:

Dawson Baptist Church will host its Family Fall Festival from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Dawson Family Recreation Center. The event will include carnival rides, games, a rock climbing wall, carousel, prizes, lots of food and a bluegrass band. For more information, visit dawsonchurch.org.

Sunday, October 27:

Thursday, Oct. 31:
