Community Center groundbreaking today

A  groundbreaking for the $16.5 million new Homewood Community Center will be held by BL Harbert International on Friday, March 15 at 10:30 a.m.

Remarks will be made by Mayor Scott McBrayer and leaders on the Recreation Board.

The new facility will include fitness amenities, state-of-the-art equipment, additional parking spaces, and a new 25-yard competition pool and water playground pool. The building is designed to be more energy efficient through utilization of natural light and implementation of improved climate control systems. Davis Architects is the designer on this project.
