Come out to work in the garden

The Homewood City Schools community garden’s monthly work day will be Saturday, June 14 at 9 a.m. Everyone is welcome to help tend the fruits, vegetables, herbs and flowers that thrive in the garden.

The garden is an outdoor classroom for Homewood students and also has community beds leased by local residents. Much of the garden’s produce goes to the schools’ lunchrooms, but the garden’s contents are for everyone to enjoy. So try some strawberries or take home a tomato while you help to keep the garden growing.
