Alagasco working on Oxmoor Road pipelines

Work began Feb. 22 on gas pipeline upgrades along Oxmoor Road, a project expected to be complete by late spring.

Alagasco representative Aaron Schmidt said the project will replace 7,700 feet of pipeline on Oxmoor between Havenwood Court and East Glenwood Drive, as well as some side streets. There are three phases to the project, and work is being performed by Rast Construction.

"When we upgrade our system it will require less maintenance with fewer service disruptions in the future. And everyone can appreciate that," Schmidt said in an email.

Schmidt said that Alagasco will attempt to minimize traffic disruption during the project, but will use flag men and security if it becomes necessary. Visit the Alagasco website for more information.
