Z Gallerie is relocating its store within Brookwood Village. The new location on the upper level near Books-A-Million is slated to open on Thursday, Aug. 27.

The store sells home furnishings, art and accessories. It was previously located on the lower level near the bottom of the escalator that descends from the food court.

“Z Gallerie has demonstrated a profound dedication to operating at Brookwood Village by building out a beautiful new store on the shopping center’s upper level,” said Todd Minnis, chief investment officer for Cypress Equities, the managing agent for the shopping center. “The new store will continue to provide Brookwood Village shoppers with an array of attractive home furnishings at affordable prices.”

Z Gallerie’s relocation is just one of numerous activities related to Brookwood Village’s renovation program. The first phase of the interior common area project, encompassing the east side of the upper level stretching from Macy’s to Kay Jewelers, is currently underway. Scheduled to be complete by the end of September 2015, the common area concourse will be updated with wood flooring. The second phase of renovation work will commence in early October on the opposite side of the upper level, including the common area between the food court and Belk department store.

In addition to the interior renovations of the enclosed mall common areas, Five Guys Burgers and Fries is remodeling its 2,546-square-foot restaurant located near the shopping center’s main entrance and is schedule to reopen September 18. Verizon Wireless, currently under construction in the former Applebee’s space, is scheduled to open in September, and new restaurant Grille 29 is planning an early October opening in a free-standing building that was previously home to McCormick & Schmick’s.
