Christopher Architecture and Interiors

After practicing commercial design for 17 years, Joanna Goodman knew she needed a change. Serendipity happened in the form of a seminar, where she met Chris Reebals, president of Christopher Architecture and Interiors.

She studied his work for a year before contacting him.

“I said, ‘If you’re ever interested in an interior design department …’” she said.

He was. Now, Goodman is the director of interiors at the firm and is responsible for full-service interior design, taking each project from start to finish. “I select anything from interiors to finishes, appliances, moldings,” Goodman said. “We have a white glove delivery and are move-in ready at the end.”

And when installation day does come, Goodman said it is like Christmas morning to her. “I think delivering something and someone being so happy about it is Christmas Day to me,” she said. “Success is having a happy client, and a repeat client. All projects are 100 percent client driven, and their happiness is our happiness.”

Goodman said her business is unique because it offers both interior design and architecture in the same firm.

“We are able to collaborate with each other throughout the process to relate the interior to the exterior and create a seamless transition,” she said. “We are in constant communication with each other.”

And with the firm having clients from Los Angeles to Miami, Goodman’s goal remains the same. “I want to create beautiful things — timeless homes that clients can pass down to their children and their children’s children. They want it to be special, and I want it to be special.”
