Five Guys Burgers and Fries at Brookwood Village is closing for the next month for interior renovations. Work is scheduled to begin Wednesday, Aug. 19.

This interior refresh will include upgrading kitchen equipment, redesigning the layout of the guest seating areas, installing new flooring and lighting fixtures, as well as a adding a fresh coat of paint throughout the store.

“We are thrilled that Five Guys is making the renewed investment in its Brookwood Village restaurant,” said Todd Minnis, chief investment officer for Cypress Equities, the managing agent for the shopping center. “This remodeling project will ensure that Five Guys remains an attractive and viable dining destination for our guests.”

The remodeling at Five Guys comes as Brookwood Village is progressing with its interior common area renovation, too.  The first phase of the project, encompassing the east side of the upper level stretching from Macy’s to Kay Jewelers, is underway.  Scheduled to be complete by the end of September, the common area concourse between Macy’s and the Village Eatery Food Court will be updated with wood flooring.

The second phase of renovation work will commence in early October on the opposite side of the upper level, including the common area between the food court and Belk department store.

In addition to the interior renovations of the enclosed mall common areas, Z Gallerie is preparing to open a new 8,500-square-foot location on the upper level near Kay Jewelers later this month.  Grille 29 and Verizon Wireless are also currently under construction at Brookwood Village on free-standing pad sites.
