New home market open three days a month

A new monthly furnishings market is now open in Homewood.

Tables & Contents, 1712 28th Avenue South across from Watkins Cleaners, carries both new and vintage home furnishings and accessories.

The three-day shopping event is open the second Thursday through Saturday of each month and features everything from pottery, glassware and original artwork to tables, lamps, chairs and chandeliers.  

Upcoming sales are scheduled for March 13-15, April 10-12 and May 8-10.

Styles also vary and might include traditional antiques, vintage, mid century and modern as well as original, repurposed pieces and some unusual, funky conversation pieces.

“We strive to find treasures that will be used and appreciated instead of thrown in an attic or basement,” the owners said. “It’s an added bonus if there’s a story behind the piece in terms of its history or origin – we like good karma and we always love a good story! “
