a.k.a. Girl Stuff to host fashion show benefit

Dee Tipps, the owner of a.k.a. Girl Stuff, is hosting a fashion show at her shop on Thursday, May 5, to benefit Two by Two Animal Rescue.

Two by Two works with a team of foster families to house rescued pets until they can be rehomed, and Tipps and her family have been fostering pets for about a year. Tipps said creating the fashion show to benefit one of her favorite local organizations was an easy choice.

The event is called PJs and Pooches, and it begins at 7 p.m. at the store located at 2906 18th St. S. The party and fashion show will feature models showing off a.k.a.'s pajama lines and accompanied by adoptable animals and "celebrity" pets at Two by Two. On May 6 and 7 there will be more pet appearances and opportunities to donate or volunteer for the rescue.
